Welcome to the Chronicles of Tewkesbury

Welcome to my new blog! What do you think?

After some long and arduous thinking, I decided to keep my hand in blogging, but start anew. I'll keep my old blog (though you'll not find a link to it here) and post there occasionally. More than likely, I'll steal material from here to put over there.

So the difference between Old Blog Account (OBA) and New Blog Account (NBA)?

This one has all of you here again and it's where I am. Let me show you around.

First, I'm not using my real name anymore. I'm going to be looking for a new job soon and I don't want to be D**ce'd. Plus, I'm a woman and there's a safety factor to be had in a pseudonym.

Second, my OBA was a point of contention for some people who are important in my life. I won't be sharing the NBA with them, because I'm tired of justifying my participation in the blogosphere to them. It's just easier not to have this argument again and again.

Third, I wanted to keep blogging, because I absolutely, utterly, and thoroughly enjoy it.

Finally, I'm carrying over some features from my OBA. Specifically, the postcards and In the BIN will be found here. You'll find many of the same links over here on NBA as you did over on OBA (I'm told those are a favorite by some of my readers.) And, I'll probably throw in some photography here and there, as well as book, music, and movie reviews.

In other words, not a lot has changed. Just the name and URL. I've moved the furniture around a bit and picked a new color of paint, but otherwise, it's the same old me you knew over at the OBA!

So, there you have it. Welcome!

e:) : Yay is right! Glad you found me, too. Btw, I watched two of the three clips about the Mazungo this morning. Wow! What a guy! I can see why he'd be so inspiring for runners. Good luck with the ongoing marathon training!

Wicked: Always nice to see you! Glad you stopped by.

Sideon: Thank you! I'm glad you're here. Make yourself at home! Thai perhaps? Or crepes? ;-)

Fuckety fuck fuck. I'm trying to get that G rating offa here. I don't feel comfortable in such rarefied space.

Also, I am annoyed that there is still comment moderation. But I am humiliated and hateful, so I might be slightly cranky about stupid stuff.

Ms. Go: Welcome to Tewkesbury! By the way--I noticed you remodeled over on your space, too. I like the new look and continue to enjoy the reviews!

WC: That will probably do it! Thanks for the help. ;-) Sending lots of hugs and love your way, my friend.

Um, also? Your new site is AWESOME! Love it.

But really - why the comment moderation still?

Holly: Me, too! And perhaps I'll be a little freer with my opinions around here, too... We'll see...

CRM: You bust me up, friend. All right. For you, I will turn off the comment moderation.

But note to all commenters: The first lame *ss, "anonymous" commenter who doesn't have the balls or the vagina to sign their name to a comment that takes a nasty stab at me and the moderation will come back on. I won't tolerate passive-aggressive behavior here.

There. You've been warned.

I almost did an anonymous lame@ss comment just because, but I hate comment moderation too much to risk it with my obnoxiousness.
