Syndicated columnist and American storyteller and satirist, Garrison Keillor, has this to say about the McCain-Palin circus.
Politico is reporting that retired general and former Secretary of State Colin Powell "might endorse" Obama on NBC's Meet the Press tomorrow morning. Check your local listings for air times.
Other endorsements even more extraordinary than the Washington Post came in last night from the Chicago Tribune and the L.A. Times.
And just in case you haven't heard of Joe the Plumber, watch this and laugh.

Colin Powell's endorsement of Barack Obama this morning will give some interesting thought for the next few days. I'm curious to see how my mother will spin this, she's voting McCain but would have voted (and wanted) Colin Powell as president. How will voting Republicans spin this?

Wow. Cyndy's link reminds me of Jon Anderson, the vocalist for Yes, who says that his voice is just another instrument in the band and the words don't actually have to mean anything.

Cele: I'm proud of Colin Powell for endorsing Obama. I'm sure it was a hard decision for him, but in the end, I think, he got burned by the Bush-Cheney Doctrine and regrets his collusion in that (and well he should. Rather than being the good soldier, he should have fallen on his sword on that one and resigned.) I hope his endorsement carries heft with voters who are undecided and sways them to vote for Obama. We can't afford McCain.
Cyndi: That was great! Thank you. Whenever Palin speaks, I hear the same thing as the interviewer in the Tide commercial who can't hear his job candidates' answers because the spot on his shirt is distracting him. Check out it here. I think you'll agree with me! :-)

Yeah the Tide commercial is exactly the same idea! Whether it's set to music or not, I always find myself wondering if she actually says anything meaningful. I just can't make myself listen to her when she's talking, so I wouldn't know.
Cyndy: I use to find listening to W talk was grating and like watching a train wreck. Palin has more than replaced him in that arena. In fact, I'm now beginning to believe that George W is actually articulate in comparison to the Saracuda.
