Damn You, Apple! Damn You!

I'm always a little behind when it comes to the latest and greatest in gadgetry, especially if that gadget involves ear buds. Since I only hear in one ear, things that have ear buds--like iPods and MP3 players and such--just don't make a lot of sense for me. Actually, I talk all of that back. A couple of years ago, my sister lent me one of her iPods and I discovered that you can be 50% deaf and still enjoy an iPod. I've been meaning to get one of my very own ever since, but I keep putting it off.

Then, this summer, Apple released it the iPhone and I decided, screw getting an iPod. I'll just wait for the third or fourth generation of the iPhone, which doubles as an iPod, and then I'll get one.

Well, today, Apple announced its new iPod line up. And damn them, they made it delicious and highly desirable. And now I'm salivating again.

Damn you, Apple! Damn you! Now I want an iPod.

Crap.

I think I am going to be one of those long hold outs for an Ipod and definately for an Iphone. I really don't like talking on the phone. Give me an email any day. MI, hey I MI with the best of them. The phone sucks. Listening to music on my phone would tripoly suck. Tripoly ha ha.

But you my dear are now smiling as you walk into Apple hell at not knowing which to eat. Everyone I know with an Ipod loves them, and I've heard great things about Iphones. But damn, they're still a phone.

Someone passed me one bud of their Ipod headphones the other day, and said "listen to this."

So I listened...and listened...and then when the song was over, I took it out and said "That was crap."

He was majorly disappointed.

Of course, it didn't occur to me that the channels are split and I was only getting half of the harmonies, no bass guitar, and half a friggin' drum kit!

Hiya,

I know I've bugged you about this before but I found a website that lists a product you might be able to use to convert stereo to mono in one ear bud or headphone....

Good luck!

No no and double no!

Creative Zen V Plus.

Cute. MUCH more affordable, and you're not buying into the "you buy the music, but don't REALLY own it" crap.

Resist! RESIST! :)
