I loved Virginia when I lived there...
soooo many years ago.... the late 1960's...
SML: Thank you! I had to narrow it down from 106 pictures I took. It was kinda tough, but some were much better than most.
Cele: One day, you should visit Washington, D.C., and Virginia. I don't like working here and I mostly don't like living here, but I do love the area for its richness in history.
Terri: If you lived here in the late 60s, it's SOOOOO different now. Where did you live? My parents lived here in the early 70s in Alexandria. Back then, going to Fairfax City was a drive in the country on a two lane road. Now, it's nothing but suburban sprawl. Think Vegas, but with traffic that is 100 times worse and humidity! ;-)
Yep, I lived in Alexandria on Wagon Wheel Drive.. about a mile from Mt. Vernon....
it was my most favorite house....
My dad worked in D.C. for the Atomic Energy Commission....
1968, 1969 and 1970 ... moved to LV in 1970 .. yuk.
Actually...I think it was Wagon Wheel Road...
Gunfighter has offered to go take a picture of the house for me...
that is if I can get the house number, isn't that sweet of him!
