Doesn't It Figure

I've lifted this directly from Wicked H at Avert Your Eyes (who doesn't provide a means of creating a link for the actual entry, dang-it all.) Credit for the punchline to this story is completely and totally hers, insofar as I can tell. I lay no claim to it whatsoever. I reproduce it here exactly as it appears on her blog. (Well, almost exactly. Hers has a break in a sentence that's wonky. I fixed that.)

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should've known... ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-ass man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

Nor lose their temper at a wrong turn, and still be home in time to put the turkey in the oven and peel potatoes.

Wonky??? Ha! Thanks for the fix. Glad you enjoyed it.

I admit to only passing it along myself, original author unknown.

Cele: Amen!

Wicked: Nah, I'm giving you credit. Going forward, we're gonna say you wrote this! There. My work is done here for the day. I'm going back to bed, boys and girls!
