Sick as a Dog. Again.

Ugh. I'm coming down with the flu again. I can't believe it!

Achy joints, a body-racking cough...

I say all that to say, I'm working on a response to the comments everyone left on my entry Getta Job, but right now, I'm looking for pain relief and wellness.

Back shortly...

You're calling in sick to blog. Tee hee.

Feel better.

Oh no! I'm so sorry you're sick. I've been getting sick too but I think it might be allergies (early spring in NC might have done it to me). Claritin D seems to be helping. Allergies in February is just cruel.

Feel better soon!

Damn, Tewkes. That blows. Got any comfort foods or sure-fire home remedies you can try?

I grab a jug of TJ's (or Sun Harvest's) Lemon Ginger Ecchinacea and drink it hot. Seems to chase some of the ailments away.

Feel better soon!

I feel bad that you're sick! I'm just getting over that head cold crap of my own, but I think mine was in part due to changing climates from the Nati to SLC.

I'm a baby when I'm sick. I agree with ME, get some comfort foods or ANYthing that will make you feel better. Sometimes for me that means a soft blanket and good movie. Sending you good vibes, my friend.

Sick is not good. People around you need to wash their hands better. Take care and feel better.

Feel better soon, Tewkes! Want me to send Alex over to warm your feet?

Oh, for cyring out loud. Somebody up there in charge of equitable distribution of misery is asleep on the job.

Sorry 'bout that, Tewkes. Look at the bright side: this gives you a chance to get in some good bonding time with the cat.

Aw, bummer. Good thing cyber-hugs don't risk contagion, so we're sending bunches your way, along with homemade chicken soup and echinacea (which recent studies have shown won't keep you from getting sick in the first place, but will help you get better faster--I get mine from a daily dose of Airborne plus Ricola Echinacea Honey Lemon drops).

But hey--with no job, at least you can count on lots of rest, right?

Di: Yep. I'm phoning it in. Gawd, I feel awful!

Jess: Thanks. Being sick sucks and this round has been worse than the first round I had in January.

ME: Would you believe, one of my comfort foods is Lipton's Chicken Noodle soup? The stuff is disgusting when I'm healthy, but when I'm sick it's warm and comforting and basically blah. I should try the Lemon Ginger Echinacea tea.

LG: I'm discovering I'm a totally weeny when it comes to being sick. I use to not be, but this stuff is torture. I told Bee last night, if I ever contract anything more debilitating and painful than the flu, I'm moving to the Netherlands and having myself put down.

Cele: That's the odd part. I have no idea where I picked this up. All I can figure is, being outside on Monday triggered it.

Liz: Yes, please send Alex over.

Phoebe: Seriously, I think the gods are aligned against me of late. Damn them!

JA: That's the only advantage to being unemployed. Thanks for the hugs!

I know something that helped me was all sorts of tea. I'm not a tea drinker by any means, but the SO just started concocting stuff and making me drink it, and it helped ...
