Yes, Virginia, There IS a God!

Oh, I am totally doing the happy dance over here, people!

And why, you ask?

Remember the wretched former boss who once told me I was tedious to work with? You know? K.ate K.rebs? The executive director of the N.ational R.ecycling C.oalition? That's the one. That wretched former boss.

Seems it was announced last week that she's "moving on to pursue other opportunities." Guess she proved to be tedious, too, eh? (Or ineffective is more like it.)

I don't have all the details yet. I just found out about this auspicious and happy event and am still working on gathering information from my contacts in the recycling world here in D.C. As soon as I have all the dirt, I'll return and report. (My best contact is on vacation this week and just emailed me to say I should call her next week. I don't know if I can wait that long...)

And, yes, to those of you who are relatively new to my blog, this officially makes me a horrible person for gloating and naming names.

But to those who've known me for a long time and have been with me through my ups and downs in this town, they know this is a sweet, sweet day for me!

Here's the release, if you're curious.

And now, back to our blog entry previously in progress...

I LOVE THAT LAST NAME -- how perfect is it??? :-D :-D

And yeah, a wee bit of Schaedenfreude is what makes work hell all worth it in the end. :-P

Happy dancing a wee bit myself...

I have often found that when you work with an nearly-intolerable boss/coworker/giraffe, you're not the only one who has those opinions. If they drive you nuts in any way, odds are they drive someone else (who is in a position to do something about it) nuts, too. These things tend to work themselves out, though usually not as quickly as we'd like.

Liz: Yes, but she's also my new best friend! :-D

E: I'll be sure to shovel it on with great delight!

Phoebe: "Sweet" pretty much sums it up!

Di: I know, right?! Krebs... Crabs... Cancer. I love German. It makes life so much more delightful at moments like this.

Gilahi: A giraffe would be a gift compared to this woman. At least they can be trained. Speaking of giraffes, apropos you should mention them. When I worked for the Wretched Former Boss, I had to visit Anheuser-Busch. They took us to one of their theme parks with animals and I got to feed a giraffe. It licked my head and messed up my hair. Perhaps I should have seen that as a sign of things to come... Hm. But enough about that. I'm happy, happy, happy. HAPPY!

Gotta love Karma.

Cele: I love Karma. I think, if I ever get a dog, I'm going to name it Karma. And I will love it and hug it and kiss it...

Gilahi said...

Since I'm pretty sure you already have one, why don't you just name your dogma Karma?

J.M. Tewkesbury said...

Gilahi: Oh, that would be a good name: Karma Dogma. I like it.

I'd love to see my former boss canned and kicked out on her ... ass. I'm still mad at her for what she did to me. Revenge...Revenge. Yeah!

Lucy: Oh, believe me, I totally understand that feeling. Boy, do I ever...
