New Business

Today's post isn't a scintillating entry as much as it is a plug for my new business venture. Over the years, many of you have told me I should put my writing skills to good use. Well, I've finally listened and that's what I'm doing.

As of today, Write Brain Publishing is open for business! My initial focus will be on resume writing and career continuity and transition documents. As I build my workload, I'll also take on manuscript editing (harking back to my first professional job), technical writing, and marketing communications/public relations writing.

If you know someone who needs a resume rebuild or is starting from scratch, I can help! And for anyone who enlists my services between now and October 31, 2008, I'll give you a 10% discount. If you have a friend you pass my information along to, tell them to mention The Chronicles of Tewkesbury and I'll give them the same discount!

Your professional writing Web site practices what it preaches, because I left thinking "Wow! I have to meet this person!"

Very nice! I've bookmarked it, and will have an easy time remembering the name of your business in case somebody I know needs your services.

Hey, Tewkesy, it looks great!! Yay for you! Congratulations!!!

Do you also offer academic services, such as CVs in addition to resumes? They aren't loaded with money, but most of them definitely need the help. ;-) Take a 10-page bibliography and turn it into a compelling 5-page CV and many a university search committee will thank you. :-)

I'm excited for you!!

Gilahi: Thanks!

Phoebe: Glad you like the site! And thanks for passing it along.

Cele: Thanks! Picking the pictures was actually harder than I thought it would be! How crazy is that?! :-)

Di: Thank you! I should add CVs to my list of services, though, I must say I find them a bit overwhelming in terms of information overload. Still, I'm sure students and professors abhor assembling them as much as we plebeians dislike assembling resumes!

Tewkes! Congrats. I'll be sure to recommend you to anyone I know who needs these services. And kudos to you for taking the leap to do something like this. It's inspiring.

(Sorry I'm late ... I'm trying to catch up.)
