Yuck

Do not run out and buy this Christmas album. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Mannheim Steamroller's worst ever. Ick. They should have stopped while they were ahead after their second Christmas album. Out of five stars, a big, fat goose egg for Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas Song.

Did I mention it's yuck?

Some of us thought the first one was pretty crappy . . . .

GF: If you never take any other advice from me, definitely take this.

WH: My pleasure!

YFMS, AKA JA: LOL! Actually, on the first CD they did, I really like(d) their version of Silent Night. Otherwise, the rest was just okay.

As to your fabulous musical abilities: I'm still waiting for a CD of your greatest hits and holiday music. Hint hint. I'm just sayin'...

Buyer's Remorse is funnier in writing :)

LOL!

Thanks, Pheebs. ;-)

Definite buyer's remorse. Maybe I'll put it on eBay and see if I can get a pittance of my money back.

At least the Lou Rawls and Diana Krall Christmas CDs I bought the same day are infinitely better than Mannheim Steamroller was. I suppose that's comforting, right?

I liked the first and second CD's too. Nice thing about being a DJ is they send you the CD's for free. Thank you for the hint, I won't take the cello off the cd when it arrives.

Christmas music? Martina McBrides' White Christmas (her cover of "Oh, Holy Night" is incredible), Hilary Stagg's Christmas Magic interesting and very different,
and Jewel's Joy.

Cele: I'll check those out. I LOVE Christmas music. I have a huge collection and love listening to it.

Oh mi gawd it happened. I received this cd in my weekly music two weeks ago and didn't even notice. Now I don't have the guts to listen to it.

Cele: There's only one song on this CD that is worth listening to and that's "O Tannenbaum." It's with Johnny Mathis and it's palatable. But that's about it. (And I LOVE Johnny Mathis, which is the only redeeming factor to this song.)

I think that's the album my SIL gave us this year. I don't know what Mike did with it.

ME: If Mike has misplaced it, don't fret or sweat. Seriously: WORST.CHRISTMAS.ALBUM.EVER.

Horrible. Simply horrible.
