Guess What I'm Doing Today?

It's Photo Friday here at Tewkesbury Place. I have a new photo I'll show you in a minute, but first, I want to tell you where Bee and I will be hanging out today.

Chick-Fil-A in Silver Spring.

And why would we do that, you ask? Because of this: free food and cow tipping!

I'm going with camera in hand to capture the wild, wacky, and brave who are not beneath a little personal humiliation to get a chicken sandwich.

And now, here's today's picture, which was taken yesterday evening.

Watching the sunset from the stairs west of the Lincoln Memorial

I had another touron experience while at the Lincoln Memorial. Remember this rant with illustrations? Well, obviously, people still aren't doing their homework. Some dude was telling his friends that Martin Luther King, Jr., delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech from the Washington Monument looking west toward the Lincoln Memorial. It was everything I could do to not bean the moron with my tripod. Even though Wikipedia isn't the Encyclopedia Britannica, it's better than just makin' up shit. And believe me, I know a lot about the latter. When I'm not one-upping, I'm MUS.

Finally, I give you this photo from some paparazza in L.A. In an effort to get back at the aforementioned, Jim Carrey put on his girlfriend's swimming suit. I love it! Way to get back at those bastards! Yahoo's omg! is calling this a "fashion faux pas." Obviously they take themselves way too seriously as the fashion police of celebrity taste and don't know a good joke on them and their ilk when they see it. I think it's brilliant!

Happy (Photo) Friday, friends!

Jim Carey cracks me up.

I hope they are not real cows.

That was some kind of creative shit making for a tourist -- gotta give 'em that :)

Torsten and I were in a CFA recently and saw the ads. I wonder how many people will really show up in costume. The problem is that it has to be a really inexpensive costume or else it will wind up costing more than the free meal would have. I look forward to your pictures!

Some people have just not cottoned to the fact that Jim Carey will do anything for a laugh. There were people that never did get the whole "aging rock star doper" thing that he did on the MTV Movie Awards a few years back. Great line from him, talking about MTV: "I like rap as much as the next frightened white man, but would it kill you to play a little Foghat every now and then?"

Does this mean you and Bee won't be cowily attired yourselves?

Phoebe: Jim Carrey had to grow on me, but the man is a comedic genius. No real cows at Chick-Fil-A, darn it all!

Jess: I can report how many people showed up at lunch time in Silver Spring in cow suits. Exactly 0. A big ol' goose egg. Although, a couple of women showed up in black and white patterned tops, but I'm not sure you could call them bovine couture.

Gilahi: Now if Jim Carrey was in the news more, I'd actually sleep at night and I could swear off the rum.

LET: Alas, Bee and I left the bovine couture at home. The Guernsey cow look just wasn't working for me today and Bee couldn't get her udders on straight so we decided to bag it. But the food was good!

Doh! Such a waste of closet space :)

I'm sort of getting this cow-tipping event now. At the Ben & Jerry's ice cream place in Denver there is a dish on the counter with a sign next to it: "Cow tipping allowed." It used to strike me as cute and kind of funny, but the Chik=a-whatsit ploy just put that joke out to pasture for me for the rest of my life.

I thought maybe it was mugging cows with asymetrically hung udders. and darn that means no good pictures.

I saw the Jim Carey picture a few days ago, it took me hours to figure out what he was doing. I was to focused on Jenny McCarthy's dress and trying to figure out if I could find one in my size.

Gilahi, love the quote.

Pheebs: Ha! Out to pasture. Good. Have you seen the Chick-Fil-A commercials? The ads show a talking cow who always says "Eat Mor Chiken." It's not bad fast food, as far as fast food goes.

Cele: I'm really bummed (still) that no one showed up attired as a cow. Harumph.
